I think we could really take things to the next level with this show if we added some new categories or at least expanded the realm for which the awards are presented.
I have some great ideas (of course ) that I think would really add to the show itself.
Such as...
We could have the
grandmas! These would be awards for the best singing women over 65.
The Grand Teetons! These would be for well endowed females and there uh um, impact on entertainment
The Graham Crackers! These would be awarded to those who have achieved excellance in after school snacks
The Gram got you busted! This award would go to the celeb with the most drugh arrests during the past year.
The Granny Smith- For excellance in fruit cup and or fruit salad making
The How Many Grand Got You Out Of It Award would of course go to the celeb who made the biggest settlement payment or recieved the biggest settlement payment from a paparazzi oir tabloid.
I could go on and on, but I think this is a good place to stop LOL!

Sheriff
Why do we, as a society, continue to watch and support a group of people who seem to have an award show to congratulate themselves every other week.
Most of these "stars" have not contributed one iota to our country's national well being. Instead they exist on incestuous self aggrandizement and invite us all to join them which we do with almost a religious fervor.
Why do we, when there are much more important topics that need to be discussed, need to know what Courtney Cox or Jessica Biel are wearing to the oscars and who the fuck designed it?
Is the life and times of who's fucking whom, how big is my mansion, pimp my ride and what slurs will come out of Mel Gibsons mouth after 8 bourbons THAT important?
Or is it, as I suspect, a national narcotic to numb us to the reality that we, as a country, are circling the drain with little chance of not going completely down it.
I refuse to watch the Grammys, Oscars, Peoples Choice awards, SAG awards, The Tony's, nor the MTV awards and these are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head at 0545 in the morning freezing my ass off overnight at work.
I enjoy the stars work. I just hate that we're puttin them on idol status to the point they are beginning to actually believe people care what they have to say....are you listening George Clooney, Sarandon, Robinson, Martin Sheen, et al.
Okay, rant off.

God Jumper!!!! I find that I agree, more & more, with you.
I say who the hell give a $hit what any or the so-caloled "stars" are wearing to anything!
I have never cared, do not care now & NEVER will care.
To these people it only seems to matter how much money they have to waste on "stuff" while there are homeless people & hungry people (kids included) right here in our own country.

And I have never watched an "awards" program in my life.
I would rather read a good book that watch one.
